Lunch time . I had the salad bar with a side of beef brisket . Brisket cooked perfect , very little fat , just enough to give it some favor . Salad bar well stocked and clean . Cute waitress , all good .

Stopped for lunch. We were seated right away. My son and I ordered pulled pork sandwich. My son got his on a bun. I got mine on garlic bread. My wife got a burger. Both my son and I got a side of fried ocra, my wife got BBQ beans. Our food came quickly, and our drinks ahead of that. The ocra tasted kind of funky to me, but my son didn't have an issue with his. I told our server about the ocra and she apologized and quickly brought be another choice of side dish. Since my wife said the beans are good, I got beans. The beans were definitely better. My wife said her burger was delicious and ate every bite. My pulled pork was extremely soft. It was the texture of pudding. My son said the same about his. Over all, the burger was the only good meal we had. I will say that our server was very friendly. Had we not wanted to get back on the road to continue our trip, I would have said something. I am sure our server would have taken care offer the problem. Also, my wife wanted baby back ribs, but our server advised against it, saying they were not looking good. That is why she got the burger. So, kudos to our server for the tip about the ribs.

Whitney my waitress was great as was others.. However. ...my slab of ribs was sick looking small...tasty, but the smallest rack of ribs I've ever saw....Whitney brought Manger over when I commented how small the slab of ribs was... I wasn't looking for a free meal, I just wanted to let her know it really didn't stack up as a rack of ribs, I was told the ribs come out by weight....sorry Sonny's I won't be back

It was ok, fast service but commercialized, next to the Outlet mall. Pulled pork was good but a little fatty.

Sonny's is generally decent for franchise/ cheap BBQ. Not the best you will ever eat but good sauces and decent BBQ. Usually enough to satisfy any BBQ craving. I've not eaten at a Sonny's in over a year because I moved North away from these eateries. Anyway, I was excited to eat here while traveling south. I ordered the brisket sandwich with fries. NEARLY TEN DOLLARS with tax. So I'm thinking man I can't wait. So it arrives and barely even fills out the bread and this is supposed to be the HUGE deal!!! I've posted a pic. Looks like a sloppy joe from the school cafeteria! UGH! It tasted ok, but not TEN dollars ok and certainly not enough meat! Hopefully it was just THIS establishment trying to save a buck (they had a sign saying they were suffering from food costs) because if this is the new Sonny policy, Sonnies will start closing as the economy continues to crap along further into the crapper. .

Was not impressed with this place were i come from chicken, ribs and pork are smothered in barbeQ not this dry stuff they put on my plate. That i guess i have to use the old sauces on the table.

This is my go-to place when I don't feel like driving all the way into Jax or St Augustine and just feeling like quantity over quality. Not the best BBQ around by any measure but it's an ok place to enjoy a weekday meal or take hungry folks for the wonderful all-you-can-eat menu! The good: Price - very reasonable Quantity - Huge Location Service is good The bad: Food quality - mediocre

Chicken was tender and juicy, pork slices is dry. Sweet tea for drinks and portion is plenty.

After a long day of shopping at the St Augustine Outlets, we were ready for a feast. Mom called out the decision as between Cracker Barrel and Sonny's. the consensus was Sonny's would be quicker. WRONG!! Slowest service from a Sonny's in years. The food was dried out. It had obviously stayed in the window too long. The fries looked like they were either old, or cooked in old grease. The icing on the cake - the eggs from the salad bar had a bleach taste. Regardless of time, we will be going to the Cracker Barrel from now on.

Chicken was tender and tasty, the beef brisket was a little dry they have a nice fresh salad bar. I should of had the pulled pork instead

Food was over rated. I ordered a combo meal and it came without the fries. I finished my sandwich the fries never came. We were a party of 12 I think we caught them on a bad day. Our host really like Sonny's.

5 billboards led us to the bleach smelling gem. Our dishes were old and dinged up. Prices were too high for the dried up "meats" we paid for. Bummed out that it was such a disappointment.

Really? How the hell does a BBQ place run out of ribs? Drive 15 miles because I was craving them. Asked if they would drop the baby back rib price to match the dry rubs and management said no! Wow! That's not a way to keep a customer happy. It's not my fault they ran out so why should I have to pay more for the baby back. Makes me wonder what ol man Sonny would of done. Even though I was unhappy and wanted to leave, family wouldn't let me, the waitress was very good and prompt. Needless to say they probably lost a customer at this location, but that seems to not matter to management. Don venting and will take my business elsewhere in the future.

Brisket was tasty! Red beer was great and local. Service was quick. The place was busy with lots of locals. It was right off the highway and near shopping. Pork was better than brisket. Sauces were tangy.

My friend and I stopped in on our way up north. As soon as we walked in we notice the great southern charm emanating from this place. As we walked to the hostess stand very friendly staff met us and sat us in a really clean booth. Great country music was playing. Next time in town I plan to stop in. I will be recommending it to friends and family!

This is the place to go if you want a tasty southern cooking BBQ restaurant with melting off the bone baby-back ribs and delicious corn bread! My partner and I ate the Ribs Sampler featuring baby-back ribs and the sweet n smokey ribs. We chose the two sides of green beans and Mac n cheese. The food was delicious! We drank root beer and pink lemonade. They were HUGE!!! 4 stars because even the food was 5 stars, the service was understaffed, and our server only visited us to take our orders and drop off food. All in all, $22 ($28 w/ tip) for a shared full rack of ribs dinner and two huge drinks!

Not a bad place to grab some BBQ. There wasn't really anything about the place that blew me away...ok well maybe one thing. Their baked beans were pretty damn good. The rest of my meal was just so-so. The sauces were more toward the sweet side, there wasn't a spicy sauce, which is really more like what I would've wanted. If your traveling down the interstate and you happen upon this place I wouldn't turn your nose up at it, but it's just gonna be a place to get some food and get back on the road.

No complaints-food was quick, hot and good..fried okra was yumm, pulled pork was also tasty as well. Typical bbq!

Went to the Sonny's next to the outlet mall. For the first time last year. It was quite good. I got some takeout 1/19/15 and was disappointed. The food was cold by the time I got home.. ( a ten minute drive). The pulled pork was dried up and the muffin was soggy. No cinnamon butter either. Coleslaw tasted like it was out of a bag. Maybe everything tasted old because this is a holiday. The baked were very good. All and all, not worth the money ...$12.79. I hope the manager reads these reviews.

I think this place is just ok, I had the beef brisket sandwich and I had it with the garlic bread. It was a little greasy. The next time I would get the sandwich on a bun. I ate half the bread and the beef on it's own. I like the favor of the BBQ and the beef was good. The service was very good.

Cricket was a great server and attentive to our needs. Good wholesome food that fills you up. Salad bar had it all and the largest sweet tea in the south. Always s crowd pleaser!!! Great lunch prices too!
